Project Elder Cool - Bishop Sullivan Center is the largest single site provider of emergency assistance in the Kansas City area. Their mission is to provide basic necessities to people who are unable to do so and to move those who are able to become self-sufficient.

During the Summer of 1999, 21 elderly people in the Kansas City Metro died due to the heat. Bishop Sullivan Center responded with Project ElderCool, an effort to donate air conditioners to Kansas City’s low-income elderly. Over the past nine years, Project ElderCool has provided more than 3,000 air conditioners. This year, A.B. May is matching donations made to Project ElderCool.
