Appliance Repair Process

Thank you for choosing A.B. May!  Our technicians are doing everything they can to repair our appliance as quickly as possible, but sometimes the parts they need aren't immediately available.  We hope this guide helps you understand our Appliance Repair Process. Our Service vehicles are stocked with hundreds of the most common parts needed to complete your repairs the same day.

If Special Order Parts Are Required

 

A special order parts request will be submitted to our Purchasing Department.

  • Typically, special order parts are received within 2 to 3 business days.
  • The parts will be delivered to your home.
  • Our customer service department will contact you to schedule completion of your repairs.
  • An A.B. May technician will complete the repairs.

In the even the part(s) are on back order:

  • Our customer service department will contact you to advise you of the delay and estimated delivery date.
  • Our purchasing and customer service departments will continue to monitor the ETA and keep you informed.
  • Once received the parts will be delivered to your home.
  • Our customer service department will contact you to schedule completion of your repairs.
  • An A.B. May technician will complete the repairs.
  • If there are extended delays in receipt of the parts, we will offer you the options for parts not available*(below).
The Following Applies to Covered Contract Repairs Only

 

If the necessary parts are unavailable through our standard purchasing channels, we will be unable to complete the repair of your appliance.

  • Our appliance department will notify you in writing with the amount of allowance your will receive.
  • A.B. May will issue you a a check for the allowance, which will include a full refund of the service fee paid* plus the value rate rate repair price which was determined at the time of the original repair diagnosis.
    *Service fee refunds will not be issued if more than one appliance was repaired during the initial service call.
